Ascent Trip Report

Surprisingly pleasant hike between two large metropolitan areas. Paved drive to the trailhead, which has a picnic table, trees, shade, and sun. Nice place to hang out. The creek was mostly dry but the area was green and had some shade now and then. The trail is easy to follow, and the bonus is there are 3 dinosaurs along the way! Don't know who put them there but I can't wait to take my 6 year old grandson on this hike. Parts are steep with pea gravel. Poles helpful. Nice little summit block to scramble, with nice views.
