Ascent Trip ReportDrove our two-wheel drive van "Ole Bessie" all the way to the top against all odds. There would've been no way this would be possible if the trail was wet. This was technically ole Bessie's first HP! Her bumper went over the benchmark. It was a nice spot in the middle of the woods with an area cleared of trees so a view down to the lake could be seen. It was quite a drive through the woods on pretty sketch dirt roads. We just followed the blue blazes and at one point thought we were gonna have to hike but I discovered a blaze hidden in the foliage so we were able to drive all the way to the top. Had din din at a picnic table up there. YUM! |
