Ascent Trip ReportClimbed up from the Carson Sink side following a south draining canyon to the west of the peak. The drainage had several vertical dryfalls that I had to scramble out of the drainage to get by. Once I gained the ridge, I had great views of the Stillwaters, Star Peak and the Humboldts, Mt Rose and the Sierras. Even Mt Grant in the Wassuk Range over 90 miles away was visible.
A register was found at the summit, but there was no pen or pencil. |
