Ascent Trip ReportOkay, yes, this is a bushwack hike. Wear long sleeves and pants. But after reading some of the other trip reports I expected this to be much more difficult than it actually was. There was a fairly clear use trail to follow the entire time, had to glance a few times at GPX track loaded on phone did not get off course. Did not have to lean in heavy to any brush, definitely got some bush to the face, a few downed trees that had to be climbed over/under. Thick shrubbery at times but completed actual summit and left without any ripped clothing, scrapes or cuts.
Last 0.3mi to summit that required bushwacking ground was completely covered in snow when I went and had to break trail. Idk if this made the trees more malleable / less rigid because the were wet with moisture or something. Running shoes completely soaked but it made use trail easy to follow on the way down as I could just follow my foot steps.
The rest was primarily a road hike with steady 5-10% grade. Took Sugar Pine Trail detour on way up, shorter/more scenic route but it was laden with snow when I went. Ran the road on way down. Started at 6pm, finished just before sun completely set and did not need to use headlamp.
