Ascent Trip Report

This was long hike. You can no longer past a gate before the water tanks making the hike longer than the 18 miles noted on HPS peak list. The weather was perfect. I started about 6:30am and made it back to the vehicle at 5:30pm.
I was at the summit for about an hour with 3 others who joined me at the top and I also stopped at Whitelegge camp upon both passings.
The faint use trail to the summit had ice making for more of a scramble at the top on the way up. On the way down I came off too far west and ended up on the rock slide and had to traverse back around. It was a bit scary!
My chihuahua QT joined me on this journey.
