Ascent of Granite Mountain on 2021-02-07
|Date:||Sunday, February 7, 2021|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6762 ft / 2061 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThis one was a nightmare. Horrible place to leave the trail and head up the mountain. Only use this track for reference. We encountered relentless bushwhacking at least half of the way up the mountain. When we traversed to Silver it looked like the rocky ridge right in the middle of the main wash up to the saddle would be a better option and worth a try. Views at the top are mostly obstructed by trees but the 4th class Pinnacle just to the south had excellent 360 views. My track stopped working before we climbed that but Patrick’s track is good for it and we found another register up there.
