Ascent Trip ReportComing down from Jumping Off Hill I crossed stream that flows into Barnes Creek at Flint Hill Road. A short ascent later I reached the forest track that parallels that stream northward to Flint Hill Road. I turned left/south and walked the somewhat level track for a couple of minutes. After passing a multi-marker boundary I departed the track and ascended towards the lower end of the Dark Mt. ridge. I reached a second less used track and continued on it up the longish ridge arm. The track eventually curved down away from the ridgetop. I abandoned the track and continued atop the ridge to the distinct bouldered summit.
In winter views of surrounding ridges and rises can be had thru the leafless forest. I left the summit and enjoyed an easy bushwhack down to the Dark and Almost Dark saddle.
