Ascent Trip Report

Very few parking in from of the trailhead when you pull over to the side. No one was parked there. Hiking up with spikes only. You do need traction especially on switch backs and the final ascent due to steepness. Great to hike in cold weather. Started out -13 degrees and at top was 25 degrees. So just the right weather so the snow does not get mushy. Must have poles or an ice pic. ice pick for the steepness but poles will do. Great views today. No cloud in the sky for miles and miles. You can see the entire Kancamangus Highway. There is lots of switchbacks. You will not gain much elevation but you will over time.
