Ascent Trip ReportHiked Reese Trail from Graybeard Mountain Overlook to Craggy Dome peak. Nearly 360-degree view from peak, but cloudy at this altitude on this day.
After hiking Unicoi Gap to Rocky Mountain, I read that is the most difficult section of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. Reese Trail is just as difficult if not more so. Trail is steep and narrow through the bushes (long pants and sleeves recommended), but the most difficult sections are where you must be careful with each step. A long stride and hiking poles help.
