Ascent Trip ReportMy penultimate peak of my lil Hanging Rock adventure.
Having not visited this park for nearly 2.5 years, I can say I forgot just how steep the ascent up to the Huckleberry Ridgeline is. This joins trails such as The Chimneys Trail in the Smokies in my "heavily trafficked tourist trails that are hard even to me" list. Following my topo map on Gaia I identified the high point of this ridge as a small overlook just to the left of the trail when heading out to Moore's Knob. The HP itself was right under a pine branch. |
