Ascent Trip Report

After North Moat, we headed over to Middle and South Moat. There were some lovely views on Middle Moat and we had a lunch break there. We then headed over to South Moat, the final peak of the day and the finish of my red-lining adventure. Tagging the summit, I became the 57th finisher of the White Mountain Red-Lining. It is surreal to think that it is over. We enjoyed the views on the summit. I popped open the champaign bottle that Doug brought up. It was some nasty champaign, but we drank it. Mainly to empty out the contents. We then headed down to the trail head. Along the trail, I forgot how there was a massive gorge off to the side further down. At the trailhead, I pulled out my cooler of beer and root beer. Everyone had a beverage. We then piled into our two cars to go retrieve the other vehicles in Diana's Bath. There was quite a line waiting to go in. The people were pissed when we cut in front of them. It was an outstanding day to be out on the Moats today and I am thankful for everyone that helped along the way.
