Ascent Trip ReportBagged while heading south on the Uwharrie Trail from the nearby Tower Road.
Coming up from the road, the trail swings by to the north of the peak. I left the trail slightly NE of where my Gaia GPS app said the high point was. The summit ridgeline is long and mostly flat, so finding the actual high point was somewhat difficult. However, I agree with Brandon Girard's trip report and believe the highest point is a series of rock outcroppings on the far western edge of the ridgeline. As I was not 100% sure of this at first I retraced some of my steps along the ridge before heading back down to the trail. |
