Ascent Trip Report

Arrived at 7:30 am with a temperature of 41 degrees. Parked approximately 0.4 miles past the Morgan Trail parking area, crossed over a metal railing and quickly encountered a trail under the oaks. Followed this trail south to the dry creek bed. Once on the other side of the creek another trail was located. Initially turned right and proceeded a few hundred feet and noticed that was in the wrong direction and then backtracked to find a wooden sign post pointing toward the correct trail. Up the trail which does get some attention as is evident by lots of cuttings of mainly chamise. Unfortunately, the cuttings were not gathered or hidden well, so some time was spent cleaning things up a bit along the way. Eventually reached the high point boulders with another wooden sign. No register can was located despite a thorough search. Really nice views. Returned the same way.
