Ascent Trip ReportTwo car parking area on dirt road 200m in off the north side of Bents Road on north side of Little Dan Hole Pond. Steel gate open.
Went up dirt road 100m where sign for "Mt Trail" indicated start of Sentinel Mountain Trail. Followed trail, which for some was old logging road, up north side of Sentinel Mtn Trail was full of patchy ice, 2-3 of snow and wet for part where stream ran through trail. Last 100m to summit very steep.
After summitting Sentinel Mtn followed Sentinel Connector Trail (Single Track) to where it connects to Dave Green Trail (Single Track) and becomes Canaan Mtn Trail. Great views south along ridge line. Was old shelter near where trails connected. Never saw blazes for Dave Green Trail.
Followed trail around base of Canaan Mtn. Trail hard to see due to patches of snow but well blazed. No trail goes to summit of Canaan Mt. Trail connects into the Mt Flagg Trail, where there was another newer shelter.
Followed Mt Flagg Trail to summit of Mt Flagg. Trail somewhat bushwacky but decent to follow as lot of blazes. Some 4-10 inch deep snow on trail and ice on Mt Flagg for last 100m up to summit. Fun section in middel that followed 10ft ledge.
Ate lunch on eastern knob and had great views to South.
Descended same way ascended just in reverse.
