Ascent Trip Report

Studied/followed Ben and Toms reports. I spotted the orange boundary post from the bend in Otter Creek Rd, between two very large houses. The space with the boundary post seemed wide enough to not seem like I was going to be a bother to either house so I headed up as discreetly as I could with the open winter forest. The path, basically straight up, for .15 miles was simple and maybe steep for middle tennessee trail standards but nothing too bothersome. The treehouse remnants remained and there was an unmarked survey marker near the highest point. The ground was a little unstable going down but in total the process took maybe 15 minutes.

Ps I got dropped off right at the boundary markers and picked up at the same point. Also, i did the gainer ridge trail beforehand and thought about going off trail from the highest point on that trail to go to the davidson county high point but there is a keep on trail sign right where that would make sense to get off trail so I chose to go the normal/direct route instead.
