Ascent Trip Report

The snow on Forest Rd 5260 became too dicey for our group of three cars, so we parked at a turn in the road near a waterfall at 3010' elevation. From there, we donned snowshoes and hiked uphill 0.56 miles to an ungated but overgrown spur road heading northeast. We followed this road for about 0.3 miles to its end, then proceeded in an easterly direction uphill through forest towards the northern ridge. Passage through the trees was fairly easy. We first gained the continuation of Forest Road 5260 just before the quarry, then proceeded up the north ridge, passing two downclimbs to saddles before reaching the final climb to the summit. Views were top-notch.
