Ascent Trip ReportA Meanderthals hike from La Tuna Canyon parking lot off the I-210 Freeway. We went up the dirt road to Verdugo Peak, then over to have lunch under the Tree of Life. Gorgeous weather with excellent visibility. We retraced our route on the way down with a few of us doing a little side trip to bag the Verdugo Mountains Park Property High Point. Seems like late in the year for it, but we ran into a very small Rattlesnake on the road in our way out. |
