Ascent Trip ReportTable Mountain is a drive up but it is a long one on logging roads. I drove up from Hwy 42 using Olalla Rd and FR 38. There is a maze of logging roads in the area and a good map/GPS is essential. The road to the top of Table Mountaingoes right over where I think the high point is located on the east side of the contour. I stopped at a little spur just west of there and hiked into a tree plantation with a several acres planted in rows like a corn field. I hiked east through the plantation to the east end at the highest point and then bushwhacked into the brush a little ways to see if I could find a higher spot. No views because of the trees. |
