Ascent Trip ReportParked on side of Rt 183 near the AT crossing. Headed west - follow the white blaze. About a half mile in, there is a sign pointing left off the AT for the Berks high point. We started off that way - but no real trail - checked our map and got back on the AT. Followed it about 2 miles in and there was a well marked turn left to the high point. A trail register is there in a metal mailbox. A high point sign. We were there in late October - still some leaves on trees - no view - just a clearing with some rock cairns. An easy hike - no real steep parts. But the trail was a carpet of Pennsylvania rocks, hidden under the fallen leaves. |
