Ascent Trip ReportFirst trip to the Western High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Chilly early November day, trail up mountain in gully that sees no light all day this time of year. Very steep and icy/light snow near the ridge. 360 Degree Views were amazing! Found plaque for the Hermit of Ampersand and some footings from the old firetower near the summit. Explored a small boulder cave near the trail on the descent. |
