Ascent Trip Report4 day trip to climb Blackcap, Ptarmigan, Dot, Carru and Lago. First day hiked in 15 miles to camp in the basin below Shellrock Pass. Day 2 - Did ridge run to Blackcap then took the boulder field back, over Shellrock Pass then a straight shot out to Ptarmigan, then over Dot Mountain on the way back and ridge run over the 8000ft bump and to the NW side of Lago. Crossed the boulder field backside of Lago then over the Lago/Carru notch and back to camp by headlamp. Day 3 - Climbed Carru and Lago them moved camp to Doris Lake. Day 4 - 12 mile hike back out. Parked at lot at Slate Peak. Walked up to Slate Peak lookout on the way out. Overall 4 days, 51 miles, 17,400ft gain. Skipped Oscaola as we had done that on a previous trip but a few in our party tagged it as well on Day 1.
