Ascent Trip Report

This was a very enjoyable backpack. The Aspens were still changing colors on the hike up to the lake, so it was particularly beautiful.

The trail from Baker Lake going over the pass to Johnson Lake is now the official trail and is signed and cairned, but one needs to be careful on the descent, because the old trail that descends toward the Baker Creek trailhead is dominant where it diverges from the new trail heading to the lake.

It was 5.6 miles to our camp at the lake, and 1.5 miles from there to Pyramid
It took us about 4.5 hours to reach the lake. After setting up camp, it only took us a bit under 1.5 hours to reach the summit of Pyramid.
