Ascent Trip Report20 days after my ascent of Erbeskopf, Germany, I manage to escape the UK again, this time for Greece.
This was the first peak of my 26 day Autumn trip, after a morning flight into Athens; revisiting the last peak of my 2011 trip, to get the true highpoint which we had somehow missed.
From E, 40mins round trip from top of dirt road, intermittent path, rough limestone, nice pre sunset views of Gulf of Corinth, trig pillar at summit with top part missing. E summit also has a trig, fenced in and a little lower than the E summit we visited in 2011. Easy drive up in SUV although slow to avoid tyre damage. Up from E as before, but Google Maps took me down SSE to Kinetta, shorter but probably took longer, last half hour in dark passing army lads on a training exercise.
Arrived too late to properly enjoy my pre-booked apartment in Aigio; next morning climbed Óros Chelmós.
