Ascent of Peak 1839 on 2020-09-15
|Date:||Tuesday, September 15, 2020|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||1839 ft / 560 m|
Ascent Trip ReportStarted off of Deerhill trailhead and started the climb. Took the Ranch road to the ridge. We made the left on the single track towards Palo. The trail is pretty easy to follow. There is a large wash that requires some navigating. We went left along the edge to the bottom, then walked on the single track to the east end and then resumed our climb. There is a good climb right before the peak that will keep you interested. Once at the top there is a Geocache, but no BM. Very smokey! Headed back the way we came. At the junction with the Ranch Center road we climbed the dirt road to the top of Peak 1839. Thanks to John Sheehe for the GPX track to follow.
