Ascent Trip ReportFrom Highway 38, I turned south onto Forest Road 1N02 and drove in about 1.2 miles, then turned right onto Forest Road 1N05 and drove in another 4.4 miles, parking at a turn out. The dirt road is in good shape, but does require a vehicle with some ground clearance. For the hike, I went up the peak's class 1 north slope to the top, tagging both the west and east summits. According to my GPS, the east summit is slightly higher although the west summit contains the summit register. Also, my round trip time was about 35 minutes. |
