Ascent Trip Report

Maybe it was because I was fairly out of shape at the time, but Peak 1 was one of the hardest hikes I've ever done, and it's a walk up. I think it's the consistent steepness early on and the Class 2 almost scrambling toward the end. I had considered adding Tenmile the day I did it, but when I hit Peak 1's summit, I was happy. I would imagine the saddle between Peak 1 and Tenmile was too intimidating when I looked at it. Still, this is a great hike with amazing views of Dillon Reservoir for much of it. It's also a very distinct peak from Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco, so it's pretty cool to be able to look at it every time you visit and know you were up there.
