|Date:||Saturday, June 20, 2020|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-North Carolina|
| Elevation:||6040 ft / 1840 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI was hiking a MST-BRP loop to bag Blackstock Knob for the SB6K challenge, when I decided to go off trail on a whim and found myself on this peak. Due to having no idea I was going to bag this peak when I went off trail, I wouldn't be able to describe where I went off the MST if I tried.
The summit is marked by a curious little marker labeled "Keen Surveying L - 2991". There's also a great deal of flagging tape around the marker and a NC State Park boundary sign on one of the neighboring trees. Nice, quiet and peaceful summit.
