Ascent Trip ReportWe elected to do this hike as an out-and-back, starting at Lincoln Gap, and bagging Abraham, Little Abe, Lincoln, Nancy Hanks, Castlerock, Lynx, Cutts and Ellen. There are also a few unnamed peaks along the way as well. We took a leisurely approach, stopping twice for food, lots of pictures (especially once the fog lifted, about when we first summitted Nancy Hanks) and periodic rest breaks. Right before summitting Ellen, I began experiencing intermittent leg cramps that slowed me considerably for the rest of the day. Total distance 12.2 miles, total elapsed time 9:30 hours, 7:15 of it moving. Total elevation gain 3182 feet, which includes the initial climb up Abraham from Lincoln Gap, and all the little ups and downs you experience along the ridgeline between Abraham and Ellen.
