Ascent Trip ReportCompleted the Saranac Lake 6er with this mountain. 10.6 miles round trip. 3:45 up; 3:00 down. 15 minutes at summit for snack- total 7 hours. This was a very challenging hike for me one day after hiking Scarface Mountain. At times the trail was confusing to follow; it would have been nice to have a few more red trail markers. Met two women who were also hiking solo. We all joined up and motivated each other to the summit and back to the trailhead. Glad to have completed the Saranac Lake 6er. Rang the bell 6 times at the town green! Now I'll receive my completion certificate, hiker number and SL6er patch! |
