Ascent Trip ReportAfter a morning ascent of Monte Soro.
From S, anticlockwise circuit. Started ENE as per Martin, well made trail, old mule track? Partially in beechwood, very welcome. Summit has Pizzo Carbonara sign in large heap of stones, and a fine view. 4 young folk on top asked me to take their photo. Direct descent: backtracking S from summit there's a cairn with a stake, and a small trail leading S to a cairned top, then a cairned trail leading SSW, rocky underfoot but OK walking. It more or less connects with an old building then the main track is easily reached, leading SSW then a L fork (path not on OpenStreetMap) leads back to the trailhead. 1h05 up, 10mins on summit, 2hrs round trip.
