Ascent Trip ReportTook the Bradley Pond trail to the herd path. Rained for a couple hours, then cleared. Wet and muddy trails the whole way. Hit Times Square and got confused as to which way to go as it's "straight ahead"; circled around the trail "straight ahead" and came right back to Times Square but didn't realize it and kept going "straight ahead and was on the trail back to the parking area! Met another hiker who let me know that; together, we made the same mistake of looping back to that spot. Figured it out and on my way to Couch. The bog was very wet and looked deep, unsure how much but another hiker said up to his hip; stayed to the left and didn't fall in! Trail to Couch was mostly a descent, meaning so much up on the return. Hit the summit, turned to go back to Times Square and onto Panther Peak. Hit Panther summit quickly. Back down to Times Square to figure out which path to Bradley Pond. Got on track and aimed to get off the herd path by dark. Did that, although hiked out several miles in the dark.
