Ascent Trip ReportStarting from the Columbine Campground, you have a choice of two trail up to the plateau under Arc Dome, the Stewart Creek Trail and the Toiyabe Crest Trail (TCT) which is in the open with wide views. I decided to do the hike as a loop in the clockwise direction: Stewart Creek Trail up, TCT down. With an early start, this would put me in the shade on the Stewart Creek leg going up, and going down I would have wide views of the neighboring ridges to the west and northwest. I highly recommend doing this hike as a loop as described. |
