Ascent Trip ReportParked at the end of the Basin Canyon road. The switchbacks which used to go up the steep north slope of Basin Canyon from the end of the road have been obscured so there is a short scramble to get up to the ridge above the canyon. Once up there, the trail up reappears and is mostly easy to follow up to the Toiyabe crest. At the crest, turn south along the crest to reach Bunker Hill in one. For the steep ascent of the false summit, follow the cairns around its western side to reach the true summit. |
