Ascent Trip ReportTurned off US-50 in Edwards Creek Valley and took the Old Overland Road south to Basque Summit, in the vicinity of which I parked. This piece of the Old Overland Road is very rocky, bumpy and slow. Not a pleasant driving experience at all, and definitely high clearance. Also several gates to open and close. I then walked first the road, then the trail to the summit. Peaked both of the Desatoya Twins. Beautiful day with great views from the top. |
