Ascent Trip Report

C2C via the cascade pass/sahale glacier route. We brought a 60m rope for the rappel and roped up on the glacier out of an abundance of caution. No need to at this time. There's only one crack and it's very easily avoidable. We brought a very light rock rack due to some trip reports commenting that the rock portion of the climb was low 5th class. Again, no need to - its a simple 4th class scramble, and a short one at that. We did the 4th class scramble unroped. We did join our 60m rope with another team's 60m at the summit for one rap down to the snow. I believe rapping with a single 60m rope may not be enough to get you down to the snow currently.

Route is in very fine shape. The views are jaw dropping and it's a pretty easy day out. This may be my favorite non technical summit in the cascades.
