Ascent Trip ReportTook the Santanoni Express from Tahawus Road. Followed blue markers to the cairn; excellent trail work has been done. Veer left at the cairn. That's where the markers end. Herd path is easy to follow, well trodden. A nice strean with a couple spots you could easily cool off in. Muddy sections along the way, many logs and rocks to stay out of it. Easy low stream crossing. You'll hit a vague spot where one route goes to Santanoni, another to Panther (very easy to miss on descent...stay right on descent). A "slide" section that some walked right up easily; I went to the left up the roots. Very nice section with wonderful views just before summit. Keep going a bit for summit sign (wooden; no view).
