Ascent Trip ReportAfter this morning's Monte Sirente ascent.
From N, Passo Serra Sant Antonio, crossroads with unsurfaced track heading SE the one to follow, almost immediately forking R (uphill); in 1.5km turn L uphill on paint marked path ascending grassy reentrant to reach a Madonna with a view, route turns sharp R climbing a ridge, then zigzagging ridge crossing a cairned top and then 300m from the summit, a minor summit with a scrambly ascent (easy YDS3, not exposed; NB both these tops can be bypassed on their W side by an efficient paint marked path, making the route YDS1; I accidentally take this path on the return (my GPS track only covers the outward leg).
Large cross at summit: its construction may have destroyed the trig if there ever was one. Another Madonna with a view, below to E of summit. 2h up, 15mins at summit, 3h30 round trip, partly overcast, cool wind, nice walking conditions.

I squeeze in a quick Monte Terminillo ascent at dusk.
