Ascent Trip Report

Afternoon climb (after Cottonwood Peak in a.m.)

I agree with one trip report. This was probably the least favorite of all my N calif peaks!. Short in distance and elevation gain, it was still unpleasant and difficult. We sat on snow on our Thompson ascent. Here, it was hot as hell on this low elevation peak... Incessant gnats were attracted to my sunscreen. Brushy. Unending loose scree, often hidden in the forest or brush floor. Good views, yet not on the summit itself, which is a rounded summit with multiple choices for the true summit, and a small junkyard of old tower parts.

The summit register is in the center of a trashed light beacon part (and not at the true summit, BTW)
