Ascent Trip Report3rd of the Seven Sisters peaks on the western ridge above Montreat. This day has become the perfect mix of sun, flora and fauna. Another downward march through the western ridge, but the plants seem wonderful.
But in places, the trail is rough if sometimes not there at all. Foot placement means everything, especially where you reach a slippery rock face.
The summit of Forked Ridge is un eventful and off trail about 30 yards. There is a deer trail to the top but no views.
