Ascent Trip ReportEarly start- on trail head by 7:00 a.m. Took left (blue) trail at junction with Mckenzie Mountain (sign in tree) at 2.4 miles. Crossed over dam and climbed to clearing just below true summit. Then continued on trail to true summit; no sign or benchmark noting summit, but clearly highest point confirmed by my GPS. Nice views from top. 1:45 up, 1:40 down. Total 6.6 miles out and back. Steep in sections. #4 of the Saranac Lake 6er. |
