Ascent Trip Report

Parked not far beyond the 1750 ft junction as the brush closed in on the road and biked up from there, figuring the road would soon be blocked by deadfall or washouts. It turns out that the road would be theoretically drivable to within about a half mile of where you head up the woods for the summit (as evidenced by semi-recent tire tracks) but the dense brush would remove most of the paint from your car if you tried. If long, steep bike rides while getting whacked in the face by branches is your idea of a good time, then Suiattle Peak is the trip for you! Scared a bear off the road at around 2000 ft elevation. Dodging piles of bear poop is part of the entertainment on this one.
