Ascent Trip ReportParked at Glassmine Falls pull off on BRP. Began hiking up the Mountain to Sea Trail to the west (right of the parking lot). Was surprised by the beauty of the trail. Many nice views, mountain Laurel was blooming, Rhodo was just past peak, and flame azalea was at peak. Wonderful wildflowers all along the trail. There were two areas of red spruce that were fantastic. Once arriving at Greybeard parking area, I turned left up the manway to the summit. Even in June it was not overgrown but easy to follow. Apparently many people are hooked on the SB6 challenge.
Summit is marked by a rusty post in concrete. |
