Ascent Trip ReportAs part of the Issy Alps Hard 100k Assbackward OKT - This was an early season attempt on this route, there was still tons of snow between Si and Teneriffe. A much faster time would be possible by selecting better weather window and being a little more speedy. Weather was horrible especially once I got to Mailbox. A normal casual round trip of mailbox might take me 3 hours, there was fog and darkness and I only had about 5 ft of visibility on the first lap and it took me 6 hours round trip. I ended up bivvying in the pit toilet at the trailhead for a couple hours before continuing the second lap in daylight. |
