Ascent Trip Report

14:34 - Pulled into the Shawnee Peak Ski area parking lot (empty).
14:40 - After quickly quickly assembling my stuff, I headed directly up the ski slope. About 2/3 of the way up I chose to follow the "road" around which added a little distance but avoided the thick weeds that had grown in on the ski trail above. I went past the Yurt (available to rent which would have been a good idea). The "trail" you end up picking up is about 50' behind the yurt. If I had known, I would have just cut over to it. Near the ski lift summit, you drop down a little along the edge of the trees and there is a trail that enters in to the woods. Follow this around to the summit. I was considering bushwhacking directly up, but there is a huge steep boulder field in the way - take the trail around.
15:20 - Summit. A couple of quick pictures and head back down.
15:45 - Back at the car.
