Ascent Trip ReportMade it to the second to last switchback before a snowbank finally stopped us. It was clear just perhaps a day or two earlier someone had tried to cross it, bottomed out, got stuck, and had a hell of a time getting back out. Looked like a mess.
Easy going cross-country though we had to walk the road a bit to avoid some manzanita fields. Moved the register to the P-9 stake which looks to be the highpoint. Benchmark is lower and based on GPS the large outcrop near the benchmark appeared to be just a few feet lower than the P-9 cairn as well. There may be ground immediately near the P-9 cairn that is about as high though this was covered in snowdrifts at the time.
