Ascent Trip ReportDay 1: Approached Pichler's via bike n hike up Eklutna Lake to the toe of the glacier.
Day 2: Pushed from Pichler's on XC skis to Whiteout Peak via Whiteout Pass ~10 hours round trip and 20 glacier miles. Whiteout glacier was slightly talkative as we approached Whiteout Pk (even more talkative on the way down in the afternoon), we were roped with a full glacier travel setup. Classic XC skis to 6600ft on the northern slopes of Whiteout. Stashed XC skis and booted the final ~500ft up the dreamy East ridge. Elected to take the East ridge vs the tempting North ridge due to a good tip from Alex McCready about cornice concerns on the North ridge. AMazing views! Thoroughly enjoyed the mostly downhill trip back to Pichler's on XC skis (we stayed roped for the trip back to Pichler's as the glacier soaked in the afternoon sun).
Day 3: Wanted to check out more peaks closer to Pichler's but fowl weather keept us hunkered down in the hut.
Day 4: Returned to our bikes we stashed near Serenity Falls hut and biked out.
