Ascent Trip Report

There is a difficult spot in the road just after the second to last switchback to the left... an uneven rock makes solid high clearance and 4wd necessary, and you need to approach it at the correct angle. Probably explains why there is currently a vehicle parked here on the satellite view. In the dark the evening before I did a poor job and my tires were spinning as they didn't all have solid contact until I backed off and tried it again.

Great hike and some lovely lakes. In this low snow year there wasn't much to deal with until just past Upper Gray Rock Lake. Had planned to use crampons but the snow was too soft so just stepped up the hill. Managed a few glissades on the descent.
