Ascent Trip Report

The last stop of a day with 4 CoHP and Blue Hill. Parked in the lot just off 45 St NW. A dirt road with not a ton of clearance but my Toyota Corolla was able to get through unscarred as long as I went slowly. Took the trail to the top of the hill within the preserve. Deafeningly quiet at the top, we were the only ones in the preserve. The top of the hill has two markers on the ground in which it looks like to be in between the HP. There used to be a marker but we think we found the remains of it on the ground right next to the HP. There is a bench on the top of the hill that we took a bit to rest and enjoy the beauty. Total walking from car and back was probably around .75miles, I would strongly recommend walking further into the preserve. I will certainly be coming back to do a run.
