Ascent Trip ReportBluebird day. Decided to go from Gold Lake Snow Park, but I'm not sure that was the best idea. We also took a little wrong turn and went along the PCT for a bit. It was a fifteen mile trek tound trip by the end. Plenty of snow, but pretty icy everywhere except on top where the sun had softened it a bit. But you can't beat that view from the top! All the mountains were clear for 360 degrees. In retrospect I think we would have been better to start at Rosary Lakes trailhead and go up through Willamette Pass ski runs, cut over to PCT and head up. Maybe next time.
