Ascent Trip ReportQuick and easy ascent up Mt. Equinox via the Red Gate Trail. Total hike time of 2:59, which included a 10 minute detour coming down off the summit where we initially missed the right turn and continued straight for a bit before realizing the error. Great views from the summit. Following this hike, I drove 25 minutes north to Mt. Dorset and hiked it. Although slightly longer mileage, it has less elevation gain and had a hike time of only 15 minutes longer than Equinox. Easily to combine the two in a single day to maximize driving efficiency.
